Boosting productivity and maintaining motivation can be a challenging task for many people. However, there are several things you can do to keep your productivity high and your motivation strong. First, create a schedule that works for you and stick to it. Random chat and distractions can derail your progress, so stay focused. Set specific times for work, breaks, and exercise. Additionally, prioritize your tasks and focus on the most important ones first. By minimizing random chat and staying on track, you can boost your productivity and maintain your motivation, leading to greater success in both your personal and professional life.
Time Management Tips for Busy Bloggers
If you've been blogging for a while, you probably already know that it's a lot of work; those who also have full-time jobs and families have an even tougher time keeping up with it all. It is not the amount of time that you spend working on your blog that is important is the amount of work that you are able to complete while working on it.
Modify your Routines so that they fit in with the Rest of your Day
Michael maintains an excellent blog where he discusses topics such as business, productivity, and leadership. My favorite posts of his are the in-depth ones in which he discusses utilizing Evernote. One of them that stood out to me was that he listens to audiobooks in the mornings because he was having trouble finding time to read physical books:
Improve the Efficiency of Your Working Area
My productivity increased significantly after I bought a simple desk that was only used for work. This may seem like an obvious point. Because I didn't know if I would be successful at making any money from blogging when I first started doing it as a side hustle, I worked from my bed, from the couch, from the dining room table, and anywhere else I felt like working.
Keep an Editorial Celender
If you embrace the digital lifestyle, creating an online spreadsheet will work just as well. I have one for my skincare collection, and I can't imagine my life without it. I'm a pen and paper girl, so having a physical planner where I can keep track of all important dates and projects.
Reply to E-mails
I used to have a lot of trouble with this one because the sheer volume of the emails that I get is completely overwhelming. Missing even a few days due to vacation or a family event made it nearly impossible to catch up. These days, I have several templates that I just copy and paste as an answer.
Be an idea generator for others
Spend some time thinking of new ideas. You'll see a huge return on your investment, and not just for your blog. This is one of those writing tips that can also help you land more freelance work. Listen in on conversations, including those taking place on blogs that are in direct competition with yours.
Utilize IFTTT for your social media needs
IFTTT is a productivity tool that allows you to save content from your favorite websites using an RSS reader of your choosing, such as Feedly or Pocket. When you do this, you can receive the posts directly to your device so that you can read them later when you are finished working.
Use Pomodoro Technique
If you are not familiar with the Pomodoro technique, it is a great way to help you increase your focus by working for a session of 25 minutes, taking a break of 5 minutes, repeating for another 3 sessions, and then taking a longer break of 15 to 30 minutes. If you are not familiar with the Pomodoro technique, it is a great way to help you increase your focus.
